Are you Tallow Bars suitable for sensitive skin?

We would recommend doing a patch test before using any new product. Our unscented Tallow Bar suits sensitive skin as it contains no fragrance or essential oils. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

How is the Tallow Bar different to your old soap bar?

Our new Tallow Bar still has organic tallow at it’s heart but with the addition of carefully selected oils that add their own fantastic properties. We wanted to produce an all in one bar that eliminates the need for separate products in your bathroom. Our Tallow bar cleanses and nourishes your face and body, is a gentle, cleansing shampoo bar and is also wonderful to use in place of a shave cream.

Are there any extra ways to use the Tallow Bar?

Absolutely! Our Tallow Bar goes beyond skincare:
Laundry Soap – Grate and use as a natural washing detergent.
Stain Remover – Rub directly onto stains before washing.
Post-Shampoo Hair Rinse – Follow with an apple cider vinegar rinse for soft, balanced hair.

Are Your Tallow Bars made with Lye?

Yes, our tallow bars are hand made using traditional soap making techniques. We use lye and spring water to ‘saponify’ our fats and oils to make a gentle, moisturising soap bar. You cannot make real soap without lye. Our bars cure for at least 4 weeks to ensure the bars are gentle for use and have a PH 8/9 . No lye remains in the soap after the soap making process is complete.

Can I use a conditioner after using the Tallow Bar on my hair?

Once you use Fierce Nature Tallow Bar frequently, you shouldn’t need a conditioner however if you feel that your hair would benefit from this, please choose a natural conditioner without SLS or parabans. As an alternative to a conditioner, a small amount of unscented balm on target areas of the hair can help to detangle.

Can I use the shave bar for dry shaving or with a shaving device?

Our Tallow bar is only recommended for wet shaving with a razor. Not recommended for use with any electronic/battery operated shaving devices or dry shaving.

My soaps look different from one another?

The beauty of small batch, handmade and natural products is recipes not formulas – which means each batch will be slightly unique from the other. This is a testament to how nature works – and is a sign that we truly live by our philosophy. If every product was exactly the same it would be an important flag suggesting a non-natural production process.
